Meet the Counselor

Adara Anderson, Owner and Licensed Professional Counselor

As an African American woman I have made it my personal mission to break down barriers,  and access to mental health care for people of color. My passion is for seeing individuals and couples live their lives to the fullest and be their best self. I do that through a variety of methods. I look at all parts of your life: mind, body, and soul. I’m a forever learner, continuing to research and attend trainings, and stay up on resources to enhance my counseling skills. Another thing you need to know about me? I truly believe your life and your relationships can be better!

My clients appreciate that I offer a ton of empathic support and make them feel safe in therapy, yet don’t shy away from giving honest feedback or challenging a thought or belief that might be getting in the way of progress. I’ll provide tools and strategies as needed, and perhaps some homework at times.
